Our workshops take place in our studio located in the Stanley Road Department Store in the heart the Brighton Laines. They can also come straight to you! They last 3-4 hours and go something like this.... 

During the first bit, we will take time to look at our objects and establish the steps needed in order to convert them into a light. We will also choose the type of lamp holders and cables that would complement your object. These decisions will take place through one-to-one chatting with the Lost and Foundry designers and also as a group conversation if we have more than one participant as we take inspiration from each other.

The second part of the workshop will be where we customise our object and prepare it for wiring.  This will include attaching components, drilling holes in objects  and otherwise customising in order to allow electrical equipment to be housed within.

There will then be a little break  where drinks and snacks will be provided.

The third part of the workshop will be when we wire our objects ready for testing.The Lost and Foundry designers will be demonstrating how to do this as well as doing one-to-one checks to see that this has been done correctly and safely.
